Roger Componovo, M.D.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Dr. Componovo received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his five-year residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Componovo achieved his fellowship in adult joint reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Componovo specializes in total hip and knee replacement surgery, including minimally invasive and partial knee replacements. He serves as Chief of the Hip and Knee Replacement Program at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono. He is a member of several professional organizations, such as the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

In addition to offering traditional hip and knee replacements, Dr. Componovo is certified to perform anterior hip replacement surgery as well as robotic knee replacement for patients that meet specific criteria. These are innovative, less invasive, more precise procedures designed to minimize both pain and recovery time for patients. Dr. Componovo also focuses on treatments for the knee, such as cortisone and gel injections.
