Mountain Valley Orthopedics Welcomes New Shoulder & Elbow Expert

Mountain Valley Orthopedics, the region's most preferred orthopedic practice, is expanding its team with the addition of Dr. Leighann Krasney. The fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow specialist will begin seeing patients in September 2024. She will be available at the practice’s main location at 600 Plaza Court C, and she will also see patients in Tobyhanna at 100 Community Drive, Suite 210, in Broadheadsville at 120 Burrus Blvd., Suite 120, and in Milford at 100 Wheatfield Drive, Suite 2. Specializing in advanced care for shoulder and elbow disorders, Dr. Krasney has experience helping athletes and active patients return to their sports and favorite activities as well as restore function in patients with osteoarthritis and acute upper extremity injuries. Dr. Krasney earned her Master of Public Health degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She went on to graduate with her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Krasney then completed her orthopedic surgery residency at UPMC Pinnacle in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After choosing to specialize further in shoulder and elbow care, she completed the exclusive San Francisco Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship at California Pacific Orthopaedics.
